I'm not really into getting all detailed... so To me, it's about someone who's had it rough. Life is weighing down on his back and he feels like he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders. There's some perturbed relationship/bond with someone... and secrets never told. Distance between persons... The most important verse, to me, is "Lesser men have come and gone. Still I'm waiting for the sunrise". It sorts of summarizes everything. Lesser men (people with lesser morals, lesser minds etc... open for interpretation) have been before him, many have walked the same path. They found something/someone they were looking for, or found a purpose. He still hasn't found it yet. He's desperate. Sometimes he feels like he's on the brink of solving the puzzle of life, but then his conclusions fall back on him, betray him. |
