But in a way that says "America this is what you are supposed to be and you could be!"

The last part is about Wall Street. The bastards refers to the bankers and CEOs who got rich while the working classes got screwed. This album is Bruce's Occupy America album.

The Rolling Stones – Shine A Light Lyrics 12 years ago
I cannot put into words how this song makes me feel. Butterflies in my stomach, tingles down my spine, my heart lifting. I think it is about Brian Jones. I get the feeling it is about his death and coming to terms with it. It almost feels like they are able to think about him fondly and know he's in a better place: "Angels beating all their wings in time..."

"May the good Lord, shine a light on you, make every song you sing your favorite tune" sounds like a toast and some of the warmest wishes you can leave a friend with.

As of now, this remains in my top 5 favorite songs ever and the song I most want played at my funeral.

Rilo Kiley – A Better Son/Daughter Lyrics 13 years ago
Anyone who thinks it is about bipolar disorder knows the illness and probably has experienced it second if not first hand.

And trust me being debilitatingly, paralytically, and devastatingly depressed is part of being bipolar. Hence why it is called bipolar disorder.

Most cases of Bipolar II are misdiagnosed as depression.

I totally agree. I am II as well. It describes the crippling depression and the mania perfectly.

I am bipolar.

The first time I heard this song I cried, because it describes exactly how I've felt in the past.

The song describes the bad, but then ends hopeful. Very empowering.

The Moldy Peaches – Nothing Came Out Lyrics 13 years ago
I love this song. It reminds me of how I feel in love. Even though I am in my 20s, I feel like a little kid inside, and when I think about my man and I riding bikes, watching cartoons, and staying up late and cuddling it sounds like heaven.
