EVERYONE HERE IS WRONG. Have you ever seen the Madonna concert for her recent tour "Sticky & Sweet"? There's a song called "Get Stupid", it's more of an interlude really, when there are images and sounds about raising awareness of the stupidity and naivety of how we are spending our lives and consuming our resources. Lady GaGa draws inspiration from Madonna, obviously, and this is where it ties in: "Telephone" is pretty much about the same thing. It is about the subliminal cooperative ignorance of the world and how we are taking up everything and anything and making excuses for not acknowledging the damage we are causing. FOR EXAMPLE: "Stop calling, stop calling, I don't want to think anymore" shows how ignorant and selfish the world is being and Lady GaGa is showing that we are being rude and ignoring the signs that we are being given. You're all stupid if you can't see this. I'm one of GaGa's Little Monsters by the way, which is how I know this because I listen to her interviews and study the lyrics and hear the way she tries to talk to us through her songs.
