I consider myself to be a (somewhat) religious person, and a conservative. I love Iron Maiden and I love this song. It's not like the only corrupt tv preachers are on the far right. I hate those "send money and you will be saved" evangelists. That just sickening.
PS. Something that makes this song so much better, is that at a church I used to go to, the preacher would make the ushers repass the offering plates around if enough money didn't come in. A few months later he drove to church in a blue cadillac bought with offering money.. |

This could be (is) the best song of all time. Its just fuckin beautiful. One of the few songs that brings a tear to my eye.
If you haven't listened to a live version of the song I recommend it. In the live version it seems so much heavier when the band joins in. |

Not one person has mentioned that the Japanese attacked America first, which resulted in Germany declaring war on us.
They started it, we finished it. Don't fuck with America. We prefer not to fight wars, but start one with us and end up like the imperial Japanese (non-existent now) or nazi Germany (non-existent)
