Sara Bareilles – Fairytale Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I've heard her say that she loved fairytales when she was younger, but she always wanted to know what happened after the "happily ever after." To quote her, "Does Cinderella go back to cleaning toilets after the honeymoon, or what?" She also said that she's trying to say that women can save themselves and don't need a prince to save them from anytihing. |
Sara Bareilles – Basket Case Lyrics | 13 years ago |
I just went to her concert a couple of days ago, and she said that this was written right after she nearly lost someone very important to her. She didn't elaborate any more than that other than that in the end it, it turned out to be okay. I love this song. It's open to personal interpretation. |
Citizen Cope – Hurricane Waters Lyrics | 14 years ago |
This is easily my favorite Cope song. I think it's pretty much open to interpretation, but I would love to hear what he was thinking when he wrote this. I think one of the lines is wrong above. I'm pretty sure it's: 'Until the scenes of tomorrow and today will finally pave the way.' |
Bob Schneider – 40 Dogs (Like Romeo & Juliet) Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I love this song so much! I agree w/you Jingy...I think he says fire and not flag, too. Thanks for the explanation of the 40 Dogs Cigarettes. |
Blue October – Calling You Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I think it's just about his life...being on the road and away from the one he loves. The lyric is, "So while I'm on this phone a hundred miles from home..." And also, it's "Do I try too hard to make you smile? To make us smile?" Instead of "to make a smile." |

Oops..I meant to just post this, not reply to anyone. The lyrics are actually: "I deal with the fact that I've FORGIVEN the worst." |
