| this is such a beautiful song. its not about a spouse at all. at the beginning of the song Matt says that hes decided to live for God. he is speaking to God in the chorus. hes telling Him that he knows what hes getting into and hes ok w/ that. then God tells Matt what he gets from loving Him. and in return, matt tells God what hes getting from loving him. and God is perfectly fine w/ that =] this song is all about getting into God because He is the only thing that is essential for us to survive...not a spouse or family or friends. while those things are very important, thats not at all what this song is about...God loves you and all he wants is a personal relationship w/ you... | |
