OK, here's what I think...on the most part I agree with the whole lie detector story, but some thought has recently crossed my mind while I was listening to this song!!! There's a possibility that the story is about choking. You know, hanging yourself on a door knob or a closet bar! But I'm not sure if the two characters in this song were doing it for pleasure or they've tried to commit a suicide. However, the girl died, she has "passed the test" and "walked out of the picture". The guy passed out but survived and "he is the evidence"!!! Also, he watched her die - "he stayed too long"! The checking time part (one minute, one thirty) fits perfectly in the whole picture. He lasted longer than her! Apparently, he's now in some sort of the mental institution or something (Will they let me out to take the test) "O love is the score enough for me to pass the test" - he wonders how much time will be enough for him to die next time!!! There...I hope this makes some sense! |
