Love this song! I think it's about a guy who broke up with his gf. Now she's over with him at his house and she' thinking that he wants her back when really, he doesn't. he speaks in a way that she doesnt really understand, and he's going to take advantage of her. She thinks it's because he wants her back. |

It seems also as if this could be about a girl in a coma. the doctors are saying that she wont live, but he is saying that they dont know her soul or fire and that she will pull through. He just wants her to open her eyes. However, the relationship thing is more likely. |

Instead of "and you just have to call, making discounted sentiments I always eat up."
Interesting song though. I found it by accident, and even if it is country, I like the lyrics.
It sounds like its about a girl who was wounded by a previous boy and now has the singer, her new love to comfort her. But to him, she's only second best. He'll always be there for her, but just to an extent. |
