Completely hits close to home for me. Absolutely amazing song. Obviously about his mom and his relationship with her. Overcoming addiction is a hard thing to do, but his mom forced him to finally take control and fight the addiction. He wants to get away so he doesn't bring her this pain anymore, he no longer wants to be the burden that he is on her. <3 Love it... |

| As it is a cover, it's an awesome cover. Now, not saying that the original isn't just as amazing, but they both take an amazing song with amazing meaning, and turn it into two different styles. I can appreciate that, that's for sure. Alphaville did well, but so did Youth Group. Also, about the OC, that show is terrible, but don't knock the song because it aired on it. | |

Typical wanting no commitment, and don't want to get hurt. You want to be with the person but you don't want the risk of being hurt, everyones been there done that. "This is probably the best, not to mention the worst idea, that I have ever had. Ignoring what we've loved, Overlooking what we've done, No awkward silences, no hiding any truths" My favorite lines in the song. Don't really know if you can get much better than that. Also... "Turn around and head in different directions, Like we never, it's like we never knew each other at all. We said what we feel, then we stop ourselves, And just walk away. Never looking back, Loving every second of it, we just walk away." Simplicity of turning your back on someone even though you love them. Definitely about a relationship between boy and girl (or otherwise, depending your sexual orientation.) Everyone's done it, I do it all the time. Save yourself before you get hurt. |
