wellll i can see them as thrash sometimes. id say theyre in a similar subgenre as slayer, which is late thrash metal-.
howeverr id say chimaira fits more into heavy metal and deffinitely melodic metalcore. which isn't a bad thing at all. a lot of sick bands are considered metalcore. |

chimaira is my favorite fucking band. hands down. haha. this song is really good it's strange to hear mark singing and it's really easy to tell that it's from their first album because rob's riffs are way softer. still an awesome song thogh. |

well i saw styg at the HoB Chicago last friday and before this song jesse said it was dedicated to his little sister who has to deal with family issues back home by herself and how it hurt to see someone he loved so much and not being able to be home with her. it was really sweet |
