Why? – Fatalist Palmistry Lyrics | 12 years ago |
"there's a moth flock in my gut growing" this reminded me of a short story i once read, by helena maria viramontes, about a young girl caring for her grandmother. in the end, the grandmother dies a disturbing but beautiful-in-a-grotesque-way death and a flock of moths flies out of her mouth, which the grandmother had mentioned before, saying that they were eating away at her soul. |
Sara Bareilles – Love Song Lyrics | 14 years ago |
I think this song is actually not about a guy. I think it's her producers, or record company, pressuring her to sing a lovey-dovey song, rather than what she wants to write. "Blank stares at blank pages" Reference to contract, or something? "I'm not gonna write you a love song 'cause you asked for it 'cause you need one" Most guys I know wouldn't ask for a love song. But producers know that those are the popular, top-ranked songs. "I'm trying to let you hear me as I am" As she said, she's opposed to writing this superficial love song, she would rather write songs that fit her personality. |
