This might be a part 2 to the song Passenger. The ocean symbolizes the trip they are on. The waves colliding are the thoughts and ideas him and someone bounced back and forth at each other while they were on whatever trip they are on in the song. "Cruising through the city after hours With me fusing all our powers" He is aware that all the deep thoughts/ideas are probably going to disappear soon and he's not ready to accept that. He feels he is the conduit, the one who remembers most of what the trip was about and tries to fuse all these "powers" (discussion/contemplation of what the memories mean from the trip) through him on an after hours ride through a city (city symbolizing reality). Anyone who has been on the brink should be able to relate. |
