If you say that song isn't metaphoric,it has to be as stupid as you are. in my opinion this song has several meanings,some of them are 1-Breaking from everyday life,which is cold,black and white,and smileless. 2-He is talking as a dictator leader,"they" are the ones against him,he makes toys out of his followers, paints them anyway he wants ( Toy Factory , Master of the toys,),and helps them reach their dreams easily(nomore striding on masses,dream factory),while crashing and burning the protesters 3- The guy is singing as leader of a bunch of teenagers,in a happy go lucky manner,escaping from their homes,and not even caring about the awful society,just fulfilling their dreams. |
