in my opinion , " i cannot dare to look , exactly what it took " means hat he cant dare to look at what this newly born child took e.g , the life of his wife maybe "every sound it makes on you ", when the child is given to its mother , and placed upon her chest "i hold my breath and smile , and hope it stays for a while " holds his breath to not cry of joy and try to smile , and hope it stays for a while , maybe the father had an experince of his children's death at birth, that's my opinion lol! |
