I do not think the names really matter too much. This song is brilliantly catchy and easy to understand... I do not know how this didn't take off or even get put into a movie or something else later. He loved a rich television star, had good times, reflecting on it in the last verse, liked someone else all along but did not have the resources to get to her. Brilliant, tasteful, and really in-the-moment. I think of giant suburban gated communities in the 90's when I hear this. Just mastery. |
