Ok so I don't really listen to this kind of music but I borrowed my friends ipod and he had mostly this kind of music on it. When I heard this song, I instantly liked it && it made me cry! I know this is a song about a relationship between lovers but I kinda thought of it differently. My little sisters name is Emily, she is 11. Right now my parents are going thru a divorce and my dad can't see her, only for 2 hours once a week supervised, because he got into drugs && tried to kill his self when my mom left, so the judge says its not good for her to be around his house til they know for sure he is doing better. He didn't see her for a whole year and when he got to see her finally, he called me crying saying it hurts to see her because he misses her so much and he can't stand the fact that he has to be supervised while spending time with her. It just reminds me of my dad and little sister because when he does get to see her, it makes his whole day and he is happy. But once their visit is over and a few days go on, he starts to miss her, but he's not gonna give up because he knows he gets to see her again. |

When she sings that line "And he only comes out at night" I think shes saying that he only comes out at night cus he wants to sleep with you. Thats the only time he wants to be with you is when he needs someone to love. He don't want to be in a relationship. When she sings "You better run for your life", shes saying get away from him because thats all he wants from you is for you to be there when he needs you. He made you fall for him, then after he knew you fell for him he knew it would be hard for you to let him go so whenever he needs you there for him |

I think this is meant for his son and the mother of his son. I think he wrote this to the mother of his son when he found out she was pregnant. He probably didn't wanna be with her til she told him she was pregnant. This sond was written for both of them because he thinks having a child with this woman will bring them together When he says "I swear I lived and learned" - meaning he lived and learned with her gone he realized how much she meant to him. And that having a child with her means no matter what they will have a connection together because of their son. ps.. Hes not saying his son wrote the letters. Hes saying he still has the letters that HE wrote to them that got returned back to him after he sent them |

My dad use to listen to LIVE when I was younger and ever since then I liked them. This was one of the first songs I heard from them. To me, the new mother does not die.. I think that the mother gives birth.. The angel is the baby. It is alive but before the doctor leaves, the baby has something wrong and it was hard to keep him alive, and the baby dies, thats why the doctor is confused. Then in the second verse, "lightning crashes" and right when the "Old mother dies" and cloeses her eyes, the baby comes back to life because the old woman was recarnated into it. The "New mother cries" because the baby stays alive. |

It might sound stupid but some people really are addicted to sex. Jus like people are addicted to drinking or doing drugs. It might be disturbing singing about it, but if someone can sing songs about being addicted to drugs and stuff, why cant they sing a song about being addicted to sex?? Some people cant help it either and maybe writing this song was helping them in a way. People actually go to rehab for this problem, and its starting to be more open now. Admitting to being a sex addict is just as bad as admitting to being a drug addict. |

Im not trying to be rude or anything, but if you guys don't like the song, why are you guys even coming on here to post something?? Honestly if I didn't like a song, i wouldn't go out of my way to write something about it. If you don't like it, leave it at that... You don't have to criticize them. Anyways, I personally like this song. It kinda reminds me of the way my relationship ended. I know it sounds bad but the only thing kept me hanging on was the sex. I tried and went out of my way to try and make things work and patch things up but nothing worked. We both knew it wouldn't work out but we was addicted to each other for the wrong reasons and couldn't let go of it. |
