I have the VH1 Storytellers with Bruce Springsteen (you can watch it here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MqiPy99yTCo) and Bruce talked about how the song was "an invitation" to Born to Run. He said "we invite you to something, not sure what yet." And this is my FAVORITE version of Thunder Road ever.
