yeh this song is quite hard to interpret for me. I can see the heartbreak and betrayal references, but i think this could be about 2 depessed people. i think that the narrator or main person of the song has a close friend that cut themselves after making the narrator guy swear not to cut, and so now the narrator guy is threating to kill himself is the friend ever does it again. im not too sure what the friend stole- maybe his heart? maybe the satisfaction of watching himself bleed? |

i dont really get this song either- its like its made in chunks: "Amuse myself with pots of paint" ( could be him being easily ammused or more likely easily distracted) "Produce the demons within us" (its so true!- we have low self esteem and we create our own demons about ourself, from ourself) "Pointless trials but dont be late, cos someones always pissed off" (People seem to get pissed off about such small things) "Disrespect me coz i'm ugly, don't give me your stupid pity" (you can judge me from my looks, but im deeper than that and i dont care what i look like and you shouldnt either, so dont give me you stupid pity. personality counts a lot more) "there are no hands to tell the time" (not really sure on this one, could be that the concept of time was made by humans, we labelled it, and we label everything) "master of my destination" (what WE do and the choice we make define us and where we end up in life) "your selfish hands invade this time and break through all of my fences" (you dont mind your business for your own purposes and try to break into everything private, and break into the things i wanted to hide) |

Where is everyone getting this drug idea from?! its DEPRESSION. "i could bleed for a smile, i could cry for some fun" makes that pretty clear. i think that "I can see in your eyes, I've already won" means hes told a close friend he wants to die and they cant convinve him not to do it. "I can tell by your smile, you're comin undone" must be this same person falling apart becuse their friend is so depressed but their trying not to show it. i think "Theres so much left in the air, So much to tell from the stare, Theres so much left to defend, but I am no fun" is everyone staring at him 'cos they know what hes done/or about to do. they know this becuse "Walk away from the sun, and TELL EVERYONE", i think the sun represents the good/happy things in life and to walk away from it is leave it all behind. yeh im strongly thinking this is a suicide and depression song. i think the gun refers to sumthing to fight the depression with. but he doesnt seem to have one so he cant fight it. i think "i am no fun" means he isnt enjoying life. i think kill everyone is that hes hurting everyone cos he gonna kill himself, or that hes shutting them out of his life. i have no idea what tiny dancer beware were medictaed and scared means, but if i was to guess i would say its him looking at an inoccent child and trying to warn them how uninoccent the word really is, and that they're gonna realise that when they get older so they should be aware of that. fading with everday must be that his will to live is fading, or that hes becoming more and more depressed and its changing who his once was. and "You could've been the next one, shouldve been enough for me" might be some else trying to cheer him up and he should have listened to them but he didnt. |

I think this song is about sumbody trapped and is crying out for help. "Lonely in this white room, There are pads everywhere, Chaffing straight jacket, I Won't die in there" is him in an insane assylum or sumthing and he doesnt want to stay in there. "Lowly with my head bowed, There are rats everywhere, Feed me bread and water, i wont die in there" i think is the same thing except probly in a prison/jail. hes trying to get out and even turning to god for help. When he asks to get out they say "Don't tell me that you're all better, I don't care if you are, Don't tell me that you're trendsetters, I don't care if you are" which means that they dont care if hes regretful for whatever hes done to land himself where he is, and im pretty sure "Trendsetters" is them refering to him being a good example to others becuse hes better. im not positive on what "Say you will take my pills, Say you will, faking ill" means but i think its to do with the fact that since he believes he better he doesnt want to be taking things pill they've got him on, and faking ill is some sort of attempt for him to get out. |

| I dont want to offend anyone by saying this- but im annoyed that P.O.D are so religous. Im not religious and i disapprove of heavily regious people becuse theres no solid proof and to put so much faith into sumthing so debated about is not for me. Science is factual and science cant prove god. the reason im annoyed that P.O.D are religous is becuse they write songs so deep, and at first i thought this song was about finding yourself and keeping on going even though you dont know whats going to happen, but now i see its all to do with putting faith in god. "His eyes" means god obviously. I still like P.O.D but i think they would be better if they were less religous. THIS IS MY OPINOIN AND IM NOT SAYING IM DEFFINITLY RIGHT. but ima go listen to Seether now... | |
