If there is one song that can have me bawling in a matter of seconds it's definitely this song. My six year old cousin passed away almost two years ago very suddenly. I came across this song around this summer, and I was amazed how much I could relate to it. It describes exactly all the emotions I went and am still going through. It hurts so much each and every day continuing on without my precious cousin, but I know he's in a better place, that he lived a good life, that he has inspired me so much from the life that he lived, that just getting the chance to know him was a blessing, and that I'll see his face again. This song is filled with so much hope, as obvious from the title, and I strongly recommend it for anyone who has had to face the death of a child. God bless. |

This song is about love, about finding the right direction, and being led to a much happier life in God's plan. But this song has much more personal meaning to me then break-ups. I always think of my little cousin when I hear it play. He came into my life as a foster child when he was two, was adopted when he was four, and passed away when he was six. He had his share of physical and mental disabilities, was stuck in a hospital, and had parents that had gone before him. He was stuck on a broken road. But then by the will of God, he was brought into my family, and inspired us all, with his smile, and his tremendous amount of courage. He was so happy. I use to sing this song all the time to him as I held him in my arms, and my aunt sang it to him at his adoption party. Whenever I hear this song, I hear my little cousin singing it to me, singing about how he went through so much, and found such happiness with us, and how he is living forever in eternity with the one who truly brought him to us. It always makes me cry now. But I love this song so much. It's one of my favorites. Thank you Rascal Flatts :) |
