i love this song,it's one of their best ones off of we are pilots....i truely think it's talking about being in love and not knowing whether or not the person feels the same,and maybe it has something to do with a conversation between the two and we only get to hear what the one person is saying,maybe it's a phonecall confessing how they feel,idk it could have many different meanings,but this song is very powerful in a way that's unique,i mean it's like when you're in love the person makes you so happy(sometimes) and it feels like some part of you has just bloomed and been brought back to life,and it's such an amazing feeling...but when they leave it's the worst pain ever,and it feels like part of you is dead. when they say:what took you so far away? you�re lost for tonight again that�s what you wanted? your arms to your side again.. just take away the words i say cause i know that you don�t feel the same just go and say what�s in your head and i won�t try to stop you ........... it's like the person is just so down and missing them that it feels like they're never coming back,which sucks,i mean if you love someone you should be able to be with them always...i also think this song is talking about confidence,like the confidence to let someone go,or the confidence to get back together with someone,well anyways this song is beautiful in a really weird way but i love it,without a doubt one of my faves by STG |

alot of people on here have posted things talking about homosexuality,well i think the song has more than one meaning,hell i may be straight but i have problems,anyways....i think it's about people passing judgement,and about being who you are and people dissaproving it,i think that everyone has a choice in who they are and i wish people would lay off everyone else,i mean sexuality is only one part of who a person is...a very small part i may add,it may affect your life but if people will see past that maybe they'll see all the positive things about you....so i think this song has to do with judgement,and it's terrible that people pass judgement,but we're all human and we aren't perfect,so to me it doesn't matter what people think,as long as you're true to yourself i think everything gets easier after a while..... peace <3 |

um wow,anill42 this song isn't about love,it's about abuse...it's about a girl who's (probably)father or stepfather beats her,he's an alcoholic and drug addict and takes it out on the girl,it's very obvious.it's a very touchy subject,and a very rough thing to deal with,some of my friends have been abused and this is how i relate to the song is that i'm the person saying "call my name,answer me where i stand"....abuse is one of the most difficult subjects to discuss so STG can't come out and just say it ,sorry if it seems like i'm attacking anill42 but i'm not i'm just stating my opinion,this song is very angry,so there is no love in it,it is a very powerful song,almost as powerful as We Are Pilots. i love shiny toy guns and all their songs,i don't even mind that they have a new singer (the 3rd one they've gone through lol) |
