Neil Young – Don't Let It Bring You Down Lyrics | 15 years ago |
All good comments. Dan is right. It was written after (or during) a concert trip to London. Sometimes even Neil might not know what some specific word or line means, but it fits into the rhyme scheme and the flow of the song. We can disect this one or just enjoy it. As he says on 4 Way Street "here's a song that's guaranteed to bring you right down, it's called Don't Let it Bring You Down" (or something like that) |

The single best line in any song, anywhere. |
Neil Young – Birds Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Of course it's metaphorical, pretty much all Neil's songs are. This one is about Canada Geese, however. I heard him refer to it in a concert many years ago. Good stuff. |
