Eve 6 – Hey Montana Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Yeah, I don't see any references to prostitution... so I'm not sure what you guys are talking about with that. Her name isn't Montana... those references are like a plea to the state of Montana, to get this girl back home to a lifestyle that isn't so sad and unhealthy. My interpretation is just the story of a troubled girl. She drinks and "scores along the way" (buys drugs) to try and escape from her problems. She most likely has an eating disorder: she's a "tiny thing" and "the truth shows through" in that by her malnourished appearance, it's clear that she's depressed. Her looks give her away, even if she tries to act like there's nothing wrong. Max Collins is a brilliant lyricist. |

No comments? I love the imagery in this one... symbolism of a chaotic lifestyle. One of my favourites off Wild Gift. |

Who cares? The beat speaks for itself. Everybody who's sitting around analyzing the lyrics and arguing... fuck it. Dance instead. |

It's a stab at Fat Mike from NOFX, hence the "bompalomp" lines, and the linoleum reference. Check out the lyrics page for NOFX's "Kill Rock Stars," all the evidence is in there. |
