| The Byzantine Empire was one of the most powerful military, sociopolitical, and cultural powers in Western history. The Boars Head was a common symbol of Medieval heraldry signifying military dominance. I think they're taking the past closer to our current history via WWII Nazi Germany and the flight of the Jews, the physicists Otto Han and Fritz Strassman splitting the atom in 1938 Germany.
