His use of the cliche'd lyrics are in a cutesy manner, saying that he thinks Sherri is as beautiful as an angel (obviously), but also refers to Sherri's christianity and how it has affected Max. | |

| It sounds to me like his friend became a Christian whilst on drugs, which Ben saw as an ironic way of saying that the only reason anybody would believe in God would be whilst they were on drugs. He then describes what his friend did after that, becoming a door-knocker, trying to sell Christianity to people. The 'one good trick' is the 'Good News'. Ben, I think, was also commenting on the stupidity of Religion. That's my 2 cents. | |

I think this song is about a girl that he knew who was a stereotypical emo. 'She slit her wrists for attention in 1996' She was a 'poser' emo, who did what she did for attention, rather than because she was tortured emotionally. Max notices this and challenges her to actually do something, like a suicide pact with him. He tells her that he can help her die if that is what she wants. Because she was just a 'poser' emo, she obviously refuses, hence 'i get angry when you're around when you're around i get nasty when you're around when you're around' I don't know if that's right, but it makes a lot of sense to me. Might not be applicable for the time that max wrote it, but it sure as hell is applicable now. |
