The song itself is a product of a songwriting game that Jason plays with other songwriters - see http://www.jasonmraz.com/#/bio/ for details of that. That would certainly explain the odd, seemingly unrelated lyrics! As for the title, 'Volition' is a psychology term for the 'power or faculty of choosing' or 'will' I guess 'dynamo of volition' could be taken to mean a 'generator of conscience choice'. |
