Geez...it's amazing how discussing the meanings of a song can turn into an argument about the existence of God. First of all, I agree with everyone who said that POD is a Christian band, it's 100% true! The song is about the tragedy in the world today. It doesn't matter what school it's about...there have been many shootings. It doesn't matter what your beliefs are, POD is making a point using their beliefs (and mine, may I add). If you don't agree with it, that's your problem! Just one question, why is it that those of you who aren't Christians or who don't belive in religion, or whatever always say that Christian bands are being "preachy." I'd just like to clue you in that that's the point. Christian bands have been called by God to use their talents to "preach" or minister to others. If you don't like it, stop listening to it! Either that, or leave or comments off the pages. I'm really tired of reading the rotten language.... |

I think this song is pretty straight forward. It talks about how all of our sins no matter how big or small are all forgotten and buried at the ocean floor if we have accepted Christ into our lives. He'll forgive us and our sins are washed away...and land on the ocean floor! |

I think this song is about how people let others control their lives. Kind of like peer pressure. People just want you to go along with the crowd sometimes, and people can pull you down into their sin. You're on a string because you just let them take control and go, and "you don't really mind, cause you're just wasting time...." It's saying that if you don't get focused, one day, "those strings will choke you." In other words, you're gonna end up in BIG trouble!!! |

Well, looking at all of your comments, I can see that all of you are right! The song can be taken in so many ways! I don't think it was strictly about Noah's Ark, but it did rain for 40 days and 40 nights! But the part about Jesus' temptation in the desert and having faith in God are probably the key points of this song! :) |

I think that this song is about both God AND selfdiscovery! Many people have found and devloped their true self because of and through God. Something like that truly makes the real you come alive, and it feels so good that you can't "turn [your] back away." |
