you wanna talk about a band so great you cant even put it into words, talk about dashboard. this stuff is the REAL emo. i think that dashboard is like THE definition of emo.. and the way chris plays it and plays his guitar.. its just gut wrenching sad! [but beautiful.] dashboard is on the top of the list of my favorite bands.. of which there are many. too bad my teacher wouldnt let me write our stupid reports on chris instead of "bach" or "chopin" or "mozart" .. garh. hehe. ; ) |

all the guys and the really tite punked out people at my school love the vines, the white stripes, the strokes, and everyone's always liked nirvana and all that good stuff. i like this kinda stuff too, but i havent quite memorized all the lyrics and the beat and stuff to them. haha.

avril = pop with a punk appearance. thats my opinion. in regaurds to her not being an artist here's what i have to say: she wrote every one of her songs. she plays guitar on some of them... so its not like she's not an "artist" by your standards at all... she's got some of the qualities but just because she doesnt "play guitar and drums at the same time" doesnt mean that she aint worth something. by the way, all the dashboard songs i have only have chris singin and doin guitar. the ones with the drums on them sound like junk and i seriously dont think its him. you cant play guitar and have two drumsticks in your hands at the same time. not happening... oh yeh, and i was gonna go see avril in concert landed on one of her concerts on nickelodeon or something like that and watched it... i suck at singing her songs but even i could sing them better than that live!.. so i dont know, its just whatever you wanna think, but hear both sides of the issue first. thats all i got ta say. |
