wow i always thought this song was pretty straight forward....ok heres my take.... John really is being honest here..he is telling this girl literally how bad he is, and how he doesnt trust himself with loving her, for reasons such as He will beg his way into her garden, and break his way out when it rains, just to get back to the place i started so i can Want you back all over again.. He will do everything to get with her, then take off when it gets bad. just so he can do it all over again. He even says "I dont really understand" why he does this himself...also i think he's criticizing her also..like saying "hey Im this way, but you dont really love me, you love the THOUGHT of me.and girl i see through it.... just what i think. |
