I kind of saw this song as an addiction to heroin. It consumes a person and you begin to lie to others and most of all, yourself. You can try so hard to pull out of it, but the addiction (shadowman?) is too powerful. However, I do like the point about it being about depression, spiralled. Re-reading the lyrics with that in mind... I do like that interpretation! |
