Ian's amazing live! Ignore the fact that he doesn't have the strongest voice in the world, You can't hear him over everyone in the crowd singing the lyrics anyway, It's all about the stage presence and the experience. He's the most naturally cool person I've ever seen. ...and for everyone who wants to know about Squire, he gave up music and is now a very successful artist as he also gave up imitating Jackson Pollock. We don't need a Roses reuninon, it would only tarnish the bands reputation and would be all about the money. Lets leave it in the past n concentrate on whats happenin now |

This song was written about John Squire's personality and use of cocaine during the Second Coming era (and end) of the Roses Career. "I just ran into this ice cold cube Thought its ways could freeze me out" refers to the way in which John refused to speak to Ian or write songs with him anymore. The overall message of the song is that Squire left the roses to persue better things and further his career (creating Seahorses), leaving Ian behind, but Ians goin to carry on without him and determined to do better. In hindsight, the song makes more sense now than ever, as the Seahorses disbanded in 1999, and Browns career is still goin strong, with 5 studio albums, 1 remix album and 1 Greatest Hits album under his belt. |
