and maybe have a bit of regrets about the way they changed, but can no longer do anything about it.

i agree! scandalous indeed!

i have a different take on your concept... it's that someone changed so much, but eventually went back to their roots to find that they didn't like the way they used to be and just ignored it and went back to their normal ways.

just leave it all behind, your fears and regrets... everything. Enjoy yourself wherever you may be, whatever situation you're in.

Micky Green – Now it's gone Lyrics 16 years ago
never found lyrics anywhere else that were complete to this song... they usually missed the fourth and fifth verses... anybody who knows what the unintelligible parts are, please report it, as i'd like to know what they are myself... this was written down as i listened to the song as i couldn't find ANY lyrics site with the correct lyrics

i mean... supposedly the unintelligible phrase is "but are our big enough"... that doesn't satisfy me as to correct lyrics, especially when listening to the song

as for what it means? well, i think it's about two people who know that they no longer feel for each other but they want to hold on just to feel like it's like it used to be.

nice, relaxing song...

what it means? probably to do with saying something to someone which tears them apart on the inside, but you still love them even though you've done something awful to them... this song is sung from the point of view of someone who knows/feels that things will get better

Jimmy Eat World – Believe In What You Want Lyrics 16 years ago
talking about the religion and the facade it puts on in order to gain your money... sung from the point of view of a 'non-believer': EVERYTHING except the last line agrees with this... with "BELIEVE in what you want" to start it off (who doesn't know what someone means when you say a "believer" or a "non-believer" - there's an automatic association with religion.)?

"Don't bother going through your motions." - he's seen all the arguments for religion before and telling people not to bother arguing with him about it again, cos they're just going to bring up the same points over and over (been there, done that)

"Nothing that makes sense ever works out." - from the point of view of someone religious: the things that make sense don't work out (i.e: the lack of a god)

"Put your trust in simple acts." - felt like this when i used to go to church... used to feel like the priests were trying to entertain me and keep my interest...

"Dancing in plastic, shake-up snow." - again: the fakery.

"Nothing can be good on its own merit." - see "begging the question" on wikipedia... basically that you can't use a circular argument which religion regularly uses

"Please keep in sight what makes you care." - what DOES make you care? is it really religion?

"Your camera flash.
On us, meaningless." - you mean nothing to them... you are their puppets of sorts (when viewed in context of the rest of the song)

"What you ignore is priceless to me." - honestly can't get a real grip on this one, but i think it's about the freedom of thought that the singer craves and is often denied by religion.

this is JUST MY VIEW, but i couldn't let so many people who looked like they missed a point steal the party

Evan and Jaron – You Don't Know Me Lyrics 16 years ago
kick ass song, the most important part i think is "did you think i'd hurt her now just to heal my heart", i think this is about a person who loves another person but just can't tell them and now maybe there's a risk in telling the other person whatever it may be that they want to get off their chest
