To me, the biggest impact of this cd, is four songs. The Sound of Settling, Tiny Vessels, Transatlanticsm and then Passenger Seat. Whenever I play the cd, and those four songs play. It's just such an, experience, for lack of a better word. The way all the songs just flow into one another, is flawless. How it will break your heart in Tiny Vessels, then on to warm your heart with Passenger Seat. Transatlanticism is one hell of a CD. |

So even though it's been said countless times here. I just wanted to remark on how the line, "I need you so much closer" is able to portray such emotion, and be so beautiful. It's so simple, and to the point. Benjamin Gibbard is nothing short of amazing. |

this song is not at all lyrically pleasing. I feel like Alex has a lot more potential than this song. I'm not entirely sure where this song was going. but any song that within the first line has "babe" is set for disaster |

A couple corrections. Instead of 'Boy you change your rust' it's, 'boy you're dangerous' I also really don't think it's, 'she was so child' but I don't know what he's saying. It's 'treat 'em like they don't stand a chance' instead of 'acting like they don't stand a chance'. |

the video for this song is absolutely beautiful. the rocket summer did an amazing job with it. the song is basically about how we all want to help the world, but our own issues get in the way. we want to change that world, but we can't do it alone. okay, that was kind of like the end of the video. I absolutely adore this song, especially since it's not that live version. Does anyone else find that the line, "Your eyes are the size of the moon," seem oddly familiar to, "With eyes the size of baby worlds," from I'm A Lawyer With The Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off [Me and You] I really hope that I won't have to compare Pretty. Odd. to Infinity on High. Although I'm sure the sound will be different. However, I just hope Ryan's lyrics don't start to sound like Pete's. |
