Van Morrison – Hold On George Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I completely agree. Damn fangirls. |
Pezz – Bird In The Basement Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"Tell us that we blow and we'll tell you, 'You suck!' (you suck)" I love that line for some reason. |
Pezz – New Orleans is sinking Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Tragically Hip cover! whaaaaaaa. |
Three Days Grace – Never Too Late Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I've never been a huge Three Days Grace fan, but wow, I love this song. |
Death from Above 1979 – Romantic Rights Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think I first heard this song on Project Runway Canada. Frikkin' cool. |
Cansei de Ser Sexy – Alala Lyrics | 16 years ago |
First CSS song I heard. The video kinda creeped me out, but this is a really cool song anyway. |
Cansei de Ser Sexy – Music Is My Hot Hot Sex Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song pretty much defines my life, well, at least the English. xD |
The Fratellis – Flathead Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I don't understand TrueRock's interpretation... ah, well. I love this song. I didn't know that this was in an iPod commercial. hmm. |
The Fratellis – Henrietta Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love this song! =) At first I thought this song was about a groupie...hehe. |
Dan Le Sac VS Scroobius Pip – Thou Shalt Always Kill Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"Thou shalt not think any male over the age of 30 that plays with a child that is not their own is a peadophile, some people are just nice." "Thou shalt not judge a book by its cover, thou shalt not judge lethal weapon by Danny Glover" "Thou shalt not go into the woods with your boyfriends best friend, take drugs, and then cheat on him" "Thou shalt not use poetry, art or music to get into girls pants... ...use it to get into their heads." "Thou shalt not make repetitive, generic music (x4)" "Thou shalt not Pimp My Ride." "Thou shalt not wish your girlfriend was a freak, like me." Damn, I love this song. |
Billy Talent – Devil in a Midnight Mass Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Last year I learned that my dad used to be an altar boy in his church... *head smashes against wall* I love both the album version and this version, but in this line: "in the cold sinner's world, tried to see them" I hear this: "and the cold, tainted walls are deceiving" Are the lyrics wrong, or do I have really bad ears? I think it's the latter. |
Anti-Flag – A Song For Jesus Christ Lyrics | 16 years ago |
... Is this song for real? |
Death from Above 1979 – Pull Out Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think it's really obvious that this song's about sex... Iraq? *reads lyrics over and over again* Somehow, I don't see that. |
Feist – 1234 Lyrics | 16 years ago |
xD Why are 7 and 8 left out, anyway? |
Metric – Raw Sugar Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I hear "I'm a baboon", but it doesn't sound right... |
Billy Talent – Living In The Shadows Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song... is about... NINJAS. I'm kidding. How is this comment useful? ... This song rocks. |
Feist – 1234 Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I liked this song before it was in the iPod nano commercial. xD |
Pezz – When I Was A Little Girl Lyrics | 16 years ago |
AND NOW... ...MY ANALYSIS. Kick me if you want, but I don't think that this song has really anything to do with him being called a girl. I guess it's just that he's fed up with society (rock star suicides, shitty radio songs, etc), and on top of that, people are giving him a hard time as well, but he's not going to kill them or anything, because then he'd be sinking to their level. 'Tis my opinion. *shrug* |
Paramore – Misery Business Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I don't think he looks like Pete Wentz either...although that could be because my friend sucks at life. |
Paramore – Misery Business Lyrics | 16 years ago |
MTV, you kinda suck. Paramore was good before you overplayed this song. That doesn't mean that this song sucks, though. I love it. Is it just me, or in the video, when the slutty bitch goes up to that guy and makes out with him in front of his girlfriend, the girlfriend looks like Zac Efron? Haha. And my friend says that the guy looks like Pete Wentz. xD |
Soulja Boy – Crank That (Soulja Boy) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Today, three of my friends and I played truth or dare. They dared me to do the dance in the video for five minutes. I did. That still doesn't change how I feel about this song. Which, by the way, is that IT FACKING SUCKS. |
Kanye West – Good Life (feat. T-Pain) Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"And she got that ass, I got to look, sorry Yo it's got to be cause I'm seasoned" When I watched the video for this song, and when those lines came up, I cracked up. xD |
Pezz – When I Was A Little Girl Lyrics | 16 years ago |
My friend Malajube loves this song. And I'm listening to it right now. =D |
Lily Allen – Nan, You're a Window Shopper Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Hahahaha, this song is hilarious! xD |
Hawthorne Heights – Ohio Is for Lovers Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"So I can fall asleep tonight or die" In this case, though, I guess it's "So I can fall asleep tonight -and- die". Because that's what happened. |
Rihanna – Question Existing Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Robyn is her real first name, Rihanna's her middle name (I think) and I guess it's her stage name as well. I don't see this as anything about hookers, just about fame and the music industry how it's not all it's cracked up to be. |
The Tragically Hip – Ahead By A Century Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This is an amazing song. I want to learn how to play this on guitar. |
Billy Talent – Where Is The Line? Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The moral of this song is: the indie rock trend is just as bad as the mainstream gangsta trend. ok, well, not really. I like this song. :) |
Billy Talent – Pins And Needles Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I spent about two weeks thinking that this could be like a...I don't know..."companion song" to Nothing to Lose. Then again, I'm quite stupid. |
Billy Talent – Prisoners Of Today Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"This is our time, this is our time, this is our time and our place" Hmm. To me this sounds like something to do with carpe diem - seize the day. Just my opinion. |
Dragonette – Take It Like A Man Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song is awesome. I get the idea that it's about a relationship with a guy who's a bit too loyal to her, coming across as a wuss, and she wants him to "take it like a man" and understand that he doesn't have to do everything for her. |
Gwen Stefani – The Sweet Escape Lyrics | 16 years ago |
All I have to say about this song is... WHOO-HOO... YEE-HOO! That's what I think. Hehe. |
Emily Haines & the Soft Skeleton – Doctor Blind Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I love Emily's songs so much - they're well-written and they've got a lot of meaning to them. This particular song is haunting, and it makes my hair stand up on end (xD) - but in a good way. Oh, and am I the only one who thinks of the song "Koyal (Songbird)" by Nitin Sawhney when I hear the "da da da da..." part? |
Marianas Trench – Alibis Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Ha ha ha, Fallen. xD Back on topic... I just realized that even though I think this song's about bulimia, it could basically also be about any type of addiction or problem. Here's my point. The lyrics I've analyzed here aren't in order, so if you start thinking "wtf?", you can blame me. The line "And I still taste that sickness" proves that this song's about an eating disorder, but it could also be a metaphor for that guilt that you'll have when you're dealing with an addiction, because you know you shouldn't be doing it, but you still are. "And it makes me crazy without it at best" - somehow, though, you can't live without that guilt, which leads to you feeling like you can't live without the addiction. "I'm just trying to stop the bleeding" - this, again, is probably a metaphor (what? I like metaphors. They're fun.), but it could also have something to do with self-mutilation. "But nobody said this was gonna be easy" - addictions aren't easy. Drugs, self-mutilation, eating disorders, *cough*insomnia, which I'm going through*cough*...they're definitely not easy. I'm done. *runs off to listen to this song again* |
Billy Talent – Perfect World Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Control-Alt-Deleted! xDDDDDDD I'm sorry, this comment doesn't help at all. |
Pezz – Nita Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I wish my hair was made of glue! xDDDDD |
The Medic Droid – Fer Sure Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Trashiest, strangest, most immature, most hilarious song I've ever heard. No idea what it means, but I'm not the smartest person alive, so that's all I have to say about this song. |
Marianas Trench – Alibis Lyrics | 16 years ago |
As much as I love this song...I warn you all, if you're listening to it and singing along, don't also be doing something that's going to make you laugh, otherwise you end up laughing and singing at the same time, and judging by the lyrics, that's not the best situation you want to find yourself in... I just have a few thoughts about these lyrics: "From the scrapes and bruises to the familiar abuses" That -could- mean scrapes on your knuckles from shoving your fingers down your throat, but I think it's a metaphor for the hardships you go through when dealing with an eating disorder. |
Dragonette – Teacher, Teacher Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Student/teacher relationship that no one else approves of. Enough said. |
Soft Cell – Tainted Love Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Tainted love = STD's???? I'm kidding. This song is so annoying, but I still love it anyway. Then Marilyn Manson butchered it... so I'm sticking with this version, as well as the original by Gloria Jones. *starts headbanging to this song* |
Daft Punk – Technologic Lyrics | 16 years ago |
*gasp* THE ROBOT IN THE VIDEO IS BRAINWASHING US TO SURRENDER TO THE SUPERIORITY OF TECHONOLOGY. =O I'm sorry, I'm kidding. |
Marianas Trench – Fix Me Lyrics | 16 years ago |
"and if your ever feeling sure bruised and battered on the floor" Hmm, I hear "and if you're ever feeling you're/bruised and battered on the floor"... I think the rest of the lyrics are close, though. I really like this song. ^^ |
Timbaland – Way I Are Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Tambam - yes, it is. |
Marianas Trench – Vertigo Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Funny story about me, and it has something to do with this song: I was listening to it on my iPod a few hours ago, and I paused right near the end (about nine or ten seconds before the end of the song), during Josh's scream. So when I put the song on "play" again, I heard... "WHAAAAAAAAAAH" It was really freaky, but it was hilarious. Anyway, I love this song. Although that may be because I'm a huge M-Trench fan. Hehehe. |
Marianas Trench – Alive Again Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I have to admit that this isn't one of M-Trench's best songs, but I do love the "I'm sorry, I'm sorry" part near the end. :) |
Marianas Trench – Push Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Holy crap, if this song is about sex... ...oh no wait, it could be. |
Broken Social Scene – Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Oh, wow, I love this song. I know you've heard this idea so many times, but this is how I see this song... "Used to be the one of the rotten ones And I liked you for that" 'You' could either refer to a friend of the narrator, or the narrator's self. As one of the "rotten ones", she was a real person, and the narrator liked it this way because she (or her friend) wasn't fake. But in these lines: "Now you're all gone, got your make-up on And you're not coming back Bleachin' your teeth, smiling flash Talking trash, under my window" The person's changed into a makeup-wearing, teeth-bleaching, trash-talking, and possibly backstabbing (I think that "under my window" could mean "behind my back") fake, and the narrator doesn't like it. If the song's not about a friend, then it could mean that the narrator knows that she's changed into someone she doesn't want to be, but she can't turn away. "Park that car Drop that phone Sleep on the floor Dream about me" I think this means "come back to your old life, come back to me", something like that. Except Emily Haines isn't seventeen... But anyway, even though I'm thirteen and I can't totally relate to this song, I had a friend who turned to the "dark side" described in this wonderful song, and that just makes me appreciate this song even more. |
Marianas Trench – Decided to Break It Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Are you sure about that, Fallen? j/k! This doesn't really have anything to do with the song, but I just saw this Google ad on this page, and for "Decided to Break It"... "How I put a stop to my OCD! No drugs - no side effects!" Hrm. I know that this song probably doesn't have anything to do with OCD, but hmmhmmhmm. |
High School Musical 2 – Humuhumunukunukua'pua'a Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Is "Humuhumunukunukua'pua'a" a type of fish, or am I going senile? |
Timbaland – Way I Are Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Bad grammar is -so- the new handbag! I actually like this song. It's catchy. A bit too catchy. Plus I love Sebastian's "Your body ain't Pamela Anderson" line, makes me laugh every time I watch the video. |
