Iron Maiden – Bring Your Daughter... to the Slaughter Lyrics
| 14 years ago

It's definitely about Anal Sex, the lyrics are spot on that subject. Bruce really must like the back door XD
Who cares if it won a razzie or was voted the worst? To be honest, I think it's stupid, it's all based on opinions that a majority will seem to agree with and last I checked: Heavy Metal barely gave two fucks about anything like this. |

Megadeth – Family Tree Lyrics

This song is about abuse, Physical or Sexual (I think it mostly deals with sexual Abuse).
The victim who was once abused is now the abuser, and though the narrator knows he tells me "But don't try doing it on me." |

this song actually saddens me, I almost get tears in my eye hearing it. The concept of the Puppet Master album is so simple yet there's so much in it that can be appreciated. |

JazzButcher, yes he had a microphone handle made out of human femurs.
He also had a skull named Melissa (inspired by the witch) but I think that got stolen |

I agree with Aniland, why aren't there any comments? This is a great introduction to any person listening to King for the first time, as it was to me when I first heard it. Already gave me what's expected to hear.

Mercyful Fate – Is That You, Melissa Lyrics

Melissa was inspired by a skull that was given to King. Apparently the skull had a blow to the head and King wondered whatever happened to the person and he just happened to make up a story about a witch named Melissa.
Great song |

Mercyful Fate – Nuns Have No Fun Lyrics

The lyrics are sick, totally love this song. Wished King had done more sick lyrics.
Looking at the album cover to the ep, seems to me the art might have been inspired by this song |

I love all the songs off the Ep. This is my favorite, love the vocal structure and I don't care if Thrash Metal Rulez says it's awful, that's what made me love this song |

I think Hoooligan almost had it but I think it was black magic or something of that sort. Maybe they were calling the Devil?
Either way, Awesome song |

Lacuna Coil – Veins Of Glass Lyrics

I seriously think it's about inflicting self harm on oneself while feeling there's some sort of guilt attached to it that's making them do the things they are doing. |

Lacuna Coil – Stately Lover Lyrics

Well I think that The Man (andi) thinks this woman (Cristina) is fucking nuts.
I think the woman is trying to engage him into this cult like brainwash while still proclaiming her love for him. She wants to know his fears to take advantage, which is what many cults do to bring followers in. She wants him to be on the same page with her: (just need you absolutely/All the fears in your mind/I just want you absolutely/To sail this ship of mine.)
But the man thinks she's lost her mind and thinks the mind control has made her so to say a blind follower that she believes it and it's hurting her: (I don't know what the hell you're saying/'cause you're going blind/Using all the lies they taught you/To hurt your mind.)
The third verse describes what a cult symbolizes. Sometimes a cult will make itself appear to be sympathetic and helping to the victim but it's more sinister than it appears: (It's there, pretends to be a guide for you/Like a candle in the dark/Lies like a really cold breeze in the air/Step by step you'll lose your faith)
The woman sees this man is vulnerable, yet he is resisting and once again she is proclaiming her love to him. Maybe to lure him in or maybe because she does love him: (I just need you miserably/Broken man come to me/I just need you desperately/Just want to change your mind)
the hook describes how they are no longer under duress, the man is no longer being targeted by the woman and the woman is no longer forced to force this man. (And I can breathe now...)
This is just my two cents |

Lacuna Coil – Fragile Lyrics

I agree with the other poster who mentioned this, it's actually a great introduction. Definitely got me hooked and I love it.
I think it's about somewhere along the lines of an abusive relationship as well. One who's entered one (First verse) and One who has moved away from it (second Verse) but is still being haunted by that lover. |

Lush – The Childcatcher Lyrics
|
well Obviously this references pedophilia. I would also say this is between a man and his child, even though the child has "grown" he wants her to pretend to be younger than she is, but she wants to grow. Thus ending their "Relationship."
"I know your kind, you just want a daughter without the wife. "
This line confuses me though, sometimes i interpret the lyrics as a man and his wife |

Tool – Hooker with a Penis Lyrics

I love this song. It's been explained, someone tells Maynard he's a sell out, Maynard in returns calls him a sell out for buying into society (Vans, 501s, etc) pointing out the hypocrisy in the kid's statement. I thought the song title fit very well. "Selling out" is just like prostitution, getting paid to do something for money in return. |

Tool – H. Lyrics
|
It's a struggle to do the right thing or the wrong thing. I think Maynard or the protagonist is facing a dilemma. Should he hurt someone to feel joy, or should he avoid doing it? He's being tempted but at the same time, he's looking at someone he loves and it's changing him for the better. He's choosing the right choice, that's my interpretation |

Tool – Eulogy Lyrics

I think this may be about a preacher who sees himself as a martyr and wants or does identify with Jesus. he died trying to make peace with his death, maybe the same way Jesus felt when he was crucified. It seems like the song keeps changing it's focal point, to me at least |

I think it's a love song too. A weird one (where fisting becomes apparent) but I think it's mostly about loving someone. |

I personally interpreted this both ways. 1)Walter being abandoned by his parents and 2) a parent-Child relationship that has gone sour.
This song is so beautiful and breath taking |

we can't say if this is Cynthia's or Walter's song since Walter's life is not mirrored in the song and we don't know anything about Cynthia. we can't say |

The lyrics are wrong.
To me, this song really reminds me of Alessa's/Dahlia's torn relationship. (Yeah I'm pretty well aware that they have no part in this game.) |

Leaves' Eyes – Skraelings Lyrics

I think this talks about when the Norse Explorers encountered the Native Americans. Tensions between the group led the Norse to going back to the sea because of the assault they received from the natives. "Skraelings" I think, was a term to define the natives as "Uncivilized." |

Twiztid – Frankenstein (featuring Colton Grundy) Lyrics

I think this talks about the so called "rappers" who have their rhymes and image made up for them. Jamie and Monoxide however, are not "Clones" but their own Frankestein, the person they created |

Twiztid – Hydro Lyrics

"I shot a movie with the guy from Halfbaked/He didn't smoke, but he was funny/So I guess he's only half fake"
I think this makes a reference to Harland Williams, who was in "Big Money Hustlas" as the other cop. |
