I love this song With my adjustments: i know that quarter in the arcade game was just a final straw in that series of events that sent you running from the bar and i left my picture off the beer and i left the bar so soon cause i knew i couldn't let you leave without kissing you and i laid awake in my bed and i could hear you sleeping and i knew that i couldn't sleep, so i kept daydreaming climbed down from that ladder, camped out on the floor hoping you'd wake and know what i was there for but then the luckiest thing happened: my roommate was so drunk and she left the water running and it woke all of us up sounded like the freight train that you were waiting for maddie had to catch the get back to our door so then you stood up and stepped on me and got all confused wondering who was laying on the floor next to you and i said that it was me and then you asked again and i said that it was me, i think it started to make sense so i asked you what you thought of the boss in Arkansas you thought that he was great and then you told me 'bout the swamps and the flat lands and the punk kids who kept moving east and the sissies house and all the kids that moved to philly But that clock kept counting down to when i had to go to work and those birds that i hate woke up and started to chirp and i wanted you to stay, but you had to leave cause you're a rockstar and you had to go play a show in eugene yeah, rockstars have to leave to play shows in eugene so all day at work i felt like puking cause I drank ten cups of coffee just to stay awake and i wish that you had been here for one more night so that we could have ... in the ... moonlight ... twenty hours like a blizzard heat stayed up watching movies and drinking cheap beer the fireplace was filled with old furniture that i rescued from the shed to keep us warm in winter you kept me warm in winter. |

This song makes me feel so sad, in a good way. It's really really good.
