theres too many comments to read so i might be repeating what someones already said and im sorry im not great at explaining things so try to bare with me.
ok..
I'v always thought this song is just about how Earth and life on it is so bizare and that looking at it if you had never been there before would be like us taking a peek at 'life on mars'. But we live this life every day so its normal to us, hence the line 'but the film is a saddening bore, for shes lived it 10 times before.' the film being our life.
Its an amazing but really strange song. I think its hard to interpret partly because the song is demonstrating how strange things are by, at times, not really making very much sense.
