Like rocky246 said, this is a mysterious song and can not really be pinned down with one meaning. I find that most of BB songs are metaphorical so this really could be about ANYTHING. Either way, killer song. One of the best on Phobia. I do love reading every ones interpretation's and discovering how different all our minds think! :) |

This song can be taken several ways. First up is the fact that in interviews I've read about this album, he says it obviously focuses on his 'phobias'. So I take this song to be about himself being locked in his fear-ridden mind. It's an all consuming thing and that's what I get out this song; it's an obsessive, life-destroying situation. Second, it can be a song about relationships. Either way I find this song to be very romantic, music included. BB is one of the most romantic lyricists in recent years. His songs are so beautifully written and like my other favorite band (Linkin Park), they can be interpreted however the listener wants. I appreciate when bands do that because then we can personalize for us and it means more to us. I am so glad I found Breaking Benjamin. :) |

I've listened to this song, no joke, about 500 times. I love it. Billy Corgan is a lyrical genius to begin with(love Smashing Pumpkins, I miss them) and writing with (imo) one of the best musicians of the 2000s(Ben Burnley of course) is just perfection in my eyes. |
