So maybe he isn't the one praying asking for forgiveness. Maybe it's her.

all of matthew's lyrics are just brilliant. His words and music are completely and purely beautiful. I can't even think of exact words to describe how they make me feel. Maybe there just aren't any. Once he mentioned something of a demo cd that he was making for people who ordered. I paid my $5 and never received one :| I'm hoping for him to make an offical cd soon. |

This song holds reference to Elliott Smith's song and album Roman Candle. I read once in a magazine interview that James Mercer now lives in Smith's old home. Elliott recorded the song Roman Candle in the basement of that home. Mercer said he was just amazed that Smith recorded it right there were he now lives. So Mercer used that influence in this song. |
