Agreed. Its one of the lesser songs on the CD. Instrumentally, its good. Lyrically, its funny, until the novelty wears off - plus the chorus kind of kills it for me. Also, I think its "teasing an annoying asshole". Dunno. Sounds more like that to me than "annoying as hell". |

"Is it a cover?" That was pathetic. Although, I don't really like this version. Or the song at all come to think of it. Billy Idol was marginally better. Listen to Queens's cover of Goin' Out West instead. That was insane. |

I disagree. Homme's vocals are insane. I'm having trouble deciding which is better - Tom Waits or Queens of the Stone Age. Waits because him and Brennan wrote it. It sounds better by QOTSA, though. |

This song is insane. Biafra's vocals are incredible, especially between "Why are our babies still born?" and "... watch Martinez burn." Its fairly obvious what the song is about, though. Dead Kennedys weren't really into subtlety, though, were they? |

In my opinion, Paranoid Android would probably be better if it were sort of truncated, to exclude the two up-tempo, guitar heavy sequences. I think it sort of kills the mood the song creates. The lyrics are insane, too. All about ambition, and the race for power. (Hence "Ambition makes you look pretty ugly", and "The yuppies networking") |
