I went to a Counting Crows concert tonight and Adam explained it. He said that he was touring one year about 7 years ago, he went to go pick up his girlfriend who he hasn't seen in 6 weeks from the airport. She was going to accompany him on tour for alittle. Her plane was delayed so he just sat there and watched the sun set and the planes fly in. He sat there thinking that he knew that she was going to end it, whether right away or maybe later. And that's when you know everything there is to know about it...the good and the bad. ....the version he played tonight was unbelievable. |

I actually just came back from a Counting Crows concert tonight at the Allentown Fairgrounds in PA. Adam said that this song is about going on a tour for a year, or whatever amount of time, coming back home and realizing that while all your friends lives may have changed in some way(kids, marriage, what have you), you are still in the same place, nothing has really changed for you. He said that it was like Peter Pan....who never changed, never grew up, then there was Wendy, she had to grow up, but was this tortured wounded girl. Then the lost boys (his friends) that all grew up and left..... |

I have no idea what this song means, but I love it. To the idiot that says that this music sucks...I used to think the same thing, actually I didn't hate it...it just wasn't my kind of music...then after hearing Trey do a version of Waste...forget about it. Phish is unbelievable...the talent that goes into that music. But to like Phish you have to really LISTEN to Phish. Um I never even heard of Finch..what kind of band is that? I bet they were on MTV or TRL or something, let me guess they played at the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and won best Teen band!!!!! And how old is this finch guy anyways...15....I know no one my age listens to New Found Glory (I know I know..to each their own, but don't go bashing music you don't know anything about)....you have alot of growing up to do to be so closed minded, and arrogant. |
