The Cribs – Moving Pictures Lyrics | 17 years ago |
amazing song, and i love cory kennedy and think that she's perfect for the video, i guess on the most literal level it's just about wanting someone who'se into glamour and drama (as kennedy assuredly is) and all that though you yourself aren't |
Jimmy Eat World – Goodbye Sky Harbor Lyrics | 17 years ago |
it's not suicide really but themes of owen meany are inevitability of death and inescapability of fate so it's completely reasonable that someone who hasnt read the book could get that out of it |
Aqualung – Broken Bones Lyrics | 17 years ago |
my favorite song on the new cd, you have to listen to it the whole way through though because it doesn't pick up until about a minute or so in "This is a story 'bout the three of us, Down by the water and the tide is rising. This world is burning and I'm terrified I need a little more time with you" such a nice refrain |
Pixies – Debaser Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i think i've seen this film seven or eight times, my french teacher is fond of watching highschoolers squirm this song is amazing anyhow, it took me the longest time to connect the two and rogue wave does a pretty great cover if anyone is interested |

Counting Crows – Anna Begins Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I always thought this song was about anorexia. I know a couple of people mentioned it prior. There's obiviously the choice of "Anna," which is reminicent. Also lines about shaking and and when he says "she disappears" just seem really reminicent. Anorexia can kind of be obsession like which could parallel the love refferences in the song. Also "Anna begins to change her mind" could reffer to how it controls you rather than someone named Anna changing thier mind. Maybe i'm stretching it to fit my liking, it just seems fitting. |
The Midway State – Unaware Lyrics | 17 years ago |
i have both, the lyrics to the newer one are better but i actually like listening to the older one more just because it's more raw has less digital remastering which for me just makes songs cuter |
The Midway State – Unaware Lyrics | 17 years ago |
neither is wrong they're just different, the one you posted sarah is just the newer version that they have on thier newest ep |
Tracy Chapman – America Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Sondre Lerche – The Tape Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song is fantasitc, i put it on repeat and dance around a la molly ringwald it sounds like it's about some confidential tape, honestly though i have no clue, i don't really care, it's too fantastic to worry about decoding |
Stars – Look Up Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Your boy is like a memory With some sense of touch and a melody Your girl she's a renegade A hurricane that keeps you there, safe Hurricane that keeps you there, safe You're cold maybe you just miss the sun You fall feeling like it's just begun So far keeping it together's been enough But look up the rain is falling Looks like love This song is phenomenal. It's about falling in love again after a bad experience with it or a bad fight. The moral of the story is that love is turbulent, and sometimes it doesn't work out. But it's worth it. It gives me the shivers it's so good. |
Ben Folds – Bruised Lyrics | 17 years ago |
fabulous but it's the bens, not ben folds, it's from a collaboration he did with ben lee and ben kweller |
Ben Folds Five – Video Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I agree with all of the above, it's just about retrospet. To be honest it kind of makes me want to dread the futre. I didn't like this song too much until I heard some really old version of it off an demo album they put out in the way early 90s. It's less instrumental and Ben's southern accent is even more noticable, it almost sounds like a country song, for some reason it just works for this song. |
The Weakerthans – Left and Leaving Lyrics | 17 years ago |
this song reminds me of when i'd have bad days in the middle of summer and sit in the road in the late night to early morning when everything is just still and i could just kind of be alone with my thoughts for a while and hope for things to change |
Bloc Party – This Modern Love Lyrics | 17 years ago |
You told me you wanted to eat up my sadness Well jump on, enjoy, you can gorge away You told me you wanted to eat up my sadness Jump right on Baby, you've got to be more discerning I've known never known what's good for me Baby, you've got to be more demanding I will be yours I adore that whole verse. This song is brilliant. I like to listen to it with the Yeah Yeah Yeah's Modern Romance. |
Jimmy Eat World – Kill Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I've been living this song these last couple of months. I was going through a really hard time and he was there for me and I spilled my soul to him, we got pretty close and hooked up a couple of times. Everybody knew it. I adored him and he was always so good with me. Then out of the blue he asked out one of my best friends and neither of them even bothered to ask me about it. It sounds stupid but I fell apart completely. I listened to this song on repeat for hour after hour for a week or so. I still haven't let go and it was like a month ago. It's strange when you have a song you really liked and then you associate it with something painful. It makes it better in the sense that it's that much more meaningful but for me at least music brings things back to mind. |
Jack's Mannequin – MFEO: Part 1: Made for Each Other/Part 2: You Can Breathe Lyrics | 17 years ago |
...cocaine is bad I detest MFEO but adore You Can Breathe Now. I get so aggravated when artists put two songs together because I always wind up liking only half of it. Does anyone know if there's a good track of just You Can Breathe that I could get somewhere somehow, or just if there's any way to crop MP3 files in two? |
