Atom and His Package – Punk Rock Academy Lyrics
| 15 years ago
|
"And never ever buy anything from UBC"
i could be wrong, but i think this is supposed to be
"never ever buy anything with a UPC"
it was a common punk ethic of the 90's to not buy any music etc... with a upc bar code... an ethic that was lost along the way it seems |

Texas Is The Reason – A Jack With One Eye Lyrics
| 16 years ago
|
so there is a Copper (EVR) song "caption" that has the line "your place is at the heart of my everything." evidently garrett dated the girl who in that band, so when they broke up this song was about that. hence "your place is STILL at the heart of my everything" that's what i have always understood at least. |

Kind of Like Spitting – The Short Story Long Lyrics

i always think of this song as when you are talking to your new girlfriend about your past and you have that guilt for things, even though you didn't even know your present girlfriend at the time. just how i hear it. |

R.E.M. – Little America Lyrics
|
One of my all time favorite R.E.M. songs.
If you ever drove any where in the south then the line "Another Greenville" makes sense... since there seems to be one in each state. Magic Mart was an old quck stop type of store. |

i love this song more than anything.
and no hes not jerking off at the end of the song, hes waking up from a bad dream... its satire on the first song off the black sheep's first record i believe. |

Hot Water Music – North and About Lyrics
|
i think it goes something more like this at the end...
***
what more could i need
when i'm already on top of the world
and as hard as it gets
i'm sticking with it growing
with it with my friends
i'm not ejecting |

Farside – I'll Wait Today Lyrics

correction...
"I realize we both COULD GET HURT
But the payoffs worth the risk"
and it is "I'll wait today" not "i wait today"
and this song breaks my heart and fills it all at the same time. i'm sorta here right now. |

The Weakerthans – Fallow Lyrics
|
"But six feet off the highway, our bare legs stung with wheat, we'll dig a hole and bury all we could not defeat, and say that we'll stay for one more year."
this line reminds me of my best friend and i, our long drives into the swamps and backwoods of florida, and how we talk about all the things we want, and how life makes our plans for us in the end. i love this song. |
