This is a song I find myself able to relate to. The beauty in APC is it leaves the music open to interpretation. This song could very well be about him being in love with someone and having them be completely terrible to him. They cheat on him, then leave him. Now, they're saying they've changed and aren't a "bad" person anymore. He's still hurting over who they were.. and the play on words describes the people of the past to be "dead".. He's asking how this person is going to fix what they've done to him.. He is "the dead" because he's part of their past. ;) |
