Oh, Sleeper – Charlatan's Host Lyrics 16 years ago
I honestly think that this song is about one of the greatest preachers of the gospel, Paul. The Bible speaks of a pharisee named Saul. He made it his sole duty to persecute Christians, going as far as murdering them for their beliefs. He was a fearsome enemy of Christian church. After being granted permission, he set out to Damascus to further persecute more Christians. On the way, ther is bright light that knocks Saul from his horse. Surrounded by this ethereal light, God speaks to him, asking, "why does thou persecute Me?" After that he was blinded for three days and could not eat. There is more to the story than that, but needless to say, after that incident he became a strong believer in Christ and one of the most faithful people to ever live. Oh yeah, and God changed his name to Paul.

I honestly think this song about the three days spent blind. I imagine God showed him exactly what he did to so many people. but he could not recognize the evil in himself. I will try to break down a bit more in another post, but I hope this encourages some people to look into it as well.

Norma Jean – Organized Beyond Recognition Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is basically about getting back to the basics. The message the is carried in the Bible, the Word of God, has become diluted by society and even the family of believers. This song, I feel, is a call to arms. A call for all to face the reality that God is real and Christ is coming back. We may not bow now, but we will bow. The basic form is our childlike faith and adoration in the glory of God, and essentially, the idea that Christ is the Son of God and died for the sins of all. Truly an amazing song. The music is just great. The overall tone exemplifies the message being sent. And the dynamics at the end only enforce the urgency of their statements as well. I love this song!

Saosin – Lost Symphonies Lyrics 17 years ago
I dont know if this has been said already, but I didn't see it elsewhere. But I'm pretty sure the actual drummer from saosin was not playing on the "translating the name" ep. i know saosin has switched drummers once or twice, but when recording, i think they used the drum tech from anotheer band...but the name eludes me right now. If you listen to their newer stuff (albeit softer) the drumming is no where near as intricate or refined, but still good nonetheless. Just thought I'd drop that in
