Ozzy Osbourne – Back On Earth Lyrics 17 years ago
This is by far my favorite Ozzy song. The first time I heard it I must not have been paying attention, but I was cleaning and noticed it, so I played it, and when I heard I just froze. I thought, "my god, this is beautiful", and I just stood their for the rest of the song. Right from the beginning I knew I wanted this song played at my funeral. Don't listen to "Scorching Blood". He's a douchebag, and he obviously has no taste in music. Ozzy is a lyrical genius, and just because you don't like his style of music doesn't mean you can rag on Ozzy and call him a bad lyricist. Ozzy is the greatest musician in I don't know how many years, and it'll stay that way for a long time (crap, I'm rambling). OZZY IS GOD!

Iron Maiden – Dance Of Death Lyrics 17 years ago
I love this song! I'm not a huge Iron Maiden fan (atleast not yet), and I just started listening to more of their songs yesterday (i'd only heard a few before). Dance of Death is a great song though. It's interesting to see how people's ideas of the song meaning differ.

HIM – Borellus Lyrics 17 years ago
I recently read that story. I heard it was from an H.P. Lovecraft story, but I didn't know which one, and I had to wait til the end of the book for that story, but I squealed with delight (in my mind) when I saw that passage. But yes, this song is about resurrecting the dead with their ashes. Ville sounds really interesting in this song. Very deep (and very sexy) voice. I don't know many people who can take a passage from a book and make it into a song. I do wish I had that demo cd though. I can't seem to find the songs anywhere. Sorry for the long comment everyone.

HIM – Sigillum Diaboli Lyrics 17 years ago
I always got confused on the lyrics of this song. I know there were two versions: Stigmata Diaboli and Sigillum Diaboli. On the lyrics booklet in Razorblade Romance, some of the lyrics didn't make all that much sense, so I just went with the ones from Stigmata I think. But, I never really knew what the song meant. The things you guys are telling are making me think that maybe they made a "satanic" song just for the fun of it, which is pretty cool. Making fun of the themselves, really, because everybody thought they were a satanic band because of their names.
Anyway, I've always loved this song, even if I didn't know what it meant.

HIM – Wicked Game (Chris Isaak cover) Lyrics 17 years ago
Okay, if this wasn't cleared up earlier, HIM are not satanists. Yes, their name used to be His Infernal Majesty, but they changed it because people thought they were a satanic band. Now their name means nothing.

Anyway, back to the song. This song is supposed to be about a guy who doesn't want to get hurt, and so is afraid to love. But, he also doesn't want the girl to get hurt. This is when he realizes that he cares about her, that he LOVES her. That he wants to be in love.

HIM – In The Nightside Of Eden Lyrics 17 years ago
It took me a while to figure out and put into words what I thought this song meant. Really, I think it's about Hell. Nightside of Eden, opposite of paradise. And he sings about the "Circle Number Four", which is the fourth circle of Hell. It's for people with lust, and other things I can't remember at the moment, but they become nothing when they enter that circle, as said in the song. But, I could be wrong, of course.
