this song is truley amazing. i wish i could make everyone i know listen anbd understand it... it's one of those songs that open your eyes and make you appreciate things without actually making you... i love the fact that everyone can relate to some part of it when they truley stop everything and just listen... like most of you, the first time i heard it, my eyes glistened for the whole day i replayed it over and over since then, it's been in my mind and i never want it to leave me...it makes me feel like the kite that flew without effort. oh how i wish for everyone to listen to it... i feel like they would understand me so much better if they did. and if someone weren't as enchanted by it and spoke half of a syllable everyone else would say "shhh" so everyone..."shhh" |

who would have thought every song by conor would hold so much meaning? oh yeah...me...and us...lol this song is 100% phenomenal...nothing more,nothing less...I wish everyone would just get past the fact that his music isn't perfect. Why would is be perfect if his music is based on the fact that nothing is perfect? I wish everyone could just understand...but then again, I guess the fact that not many people know and understand just makes even more amazing to those who do...this song is (stated before)about how we will never truley understand our lives, or ourselves for that matter. We're all going to die eventually and our spirits are going to end up in the same place no matter how far we succeed in life. So my question to all of you is: why do we still try when we know this is true? WHy do we continue to do so much when all we do will be forgotten when the world ends? |

this song means way too much to me...including the seemingly never ending silence, and surprising Contrast and Compare ending...like all of Conor's music ever syllable seems so symbolic. When you find out the meaning and your mind just clicks....there's no way to describe the feeling you get. It's like an adrenaline rush and you want to tell eveybody everything about Conor until there's nothing left to say(but does it ever end?) anyway Tereza and Tomas is amazing...like everything Conor has ever done. We all know what I'm trying to say...so I don't need to explain,yet I want to...but truley just can't. God, am I really that pathetic to make this song so close to me? It's so strange to have words be something I feel like I need...sorry I'll stop now before I can't stop and continue to prattle... |

I didn't know Mraz did a re-make of this song until last night,I have that version staring up at me as I type this comment down,but I can't seem to play it...would it sound utterly pathetic if I said I'm scared that if I listen to Mraz's version,the Oberst version will be completely shattered? Then I guess I'll have to be utterly pathetic and never listen to the unknown.Could u imagine if I walked out of this cafe and they play the Mraz version?Yeah...I'm pathetic...but totaly dedicated...lol |

| When I first discovered Bright Eyes I heard this song.I can't describe the various feelings I got from this poetic tradgedy...There's these different points of views and Conor makes you feel a certain sadness for them all.
