| Its not about gay sex... when he says "haven't seen him smile in a while", i think its referring to the guy on drugs, maybe himself...no one has seen him smile in a while. Guys can do anal with girls to... Also in the thank you's Bert mentions Kate (his late ex) and says that all of the songs were written for her. So I really doubt that he is gay, and i think this song is about her and drugs. Just my take on it, this is a really amazing song for it's lyrical content anyways. | |

I really like this song, especially when he whipsers cause it's like a build up when he goes all out and sings. I personally really like Hawthorne heights but i guess its not for everyone. I also like glassjaw and I know a ton of people who don't. It means pretty much what everyone's been saying: the girl keeps saying what she needs, and i guess they aren't close. "She says shes right here... she seems soo distant." I think the chorus is pretty basic and really true. Saying goodbye when the other person is ready, or is really upset would usually make someone feel sorry. I think maybe this song could be about leaving for like a tour and leaving someone behind. "Just a few last hours gotta make this count." like their last hours together before they leave. and maybe going away and being away from eachother has taken a toll on the relationship...who knows lol...just a thought. |

When bands say cut my wrist...they could be using it as like a metaphor. It doesn't necessarily mean that they are suicidal. That's cool if people don't like certain types of music, but then why waste your time going on about how much you hate it. I do think bands should stick to what there good at and expand their music. Some bands are really great at screaming, and others singing. This is song meanings though so i personally though that the line "Because you kill me. You know you do, you kill me well." is a really good line, and i think it means your hurt me and you do it soo well. Kinda obvious, but whatever. |
