i personally think this song sorta is about vampires, but uses the vampires as a metaphor for what wil said 'having something that takes over in your life' comparing being a vampire to being an addict, like sayin its almost impossible to get free of these things |

i think that 'he's not around, he's always looking at men' does not mean he is sleeping with men, i think it means he knows his wife is unfaithful, and he is jealous of other men and ends up murdering those that he thinks have been with his wife 'down by the pool he doesnt have many friends, s they are face down and bloated' I think this fits with the whole story of the album, whereas the groom is hunting the souls of evil men, and the man in this song is a murderer |

| this song is about a guy who is going to get married, but in the back of his mind, he knows his wife-to-be is cheating on him. in the song, he is battling with his conscience, "it's much better to face these things with a sense of poise and rationality", he thinks he should just overlook his partner's adultery. the reason that "technically our marriage is saved" is because he isnt going to have a divorce or a failed marraige, because he isnt going to have any marriage. if you've seen the video, you can see that he eventually gives in to his conscience(the guy in the red suit) | |
