i'll agree with Sandman-X on this one..but my step bro read that it was about sum dude who claimed he could do all of this bullshit and that he was sum sort of saint or sum bullshit like that...and Zakk Wylde got pissed at him and pretty much bombed the fuck out of him (or them) w/this song...but its pretty much the same shit that Sandman said...people i'm PRETTY DAMN SURE get the wrong impression of this song when they first hear it....i sure did...but i personally thought it was about the devil and his false and empty promises....hey...if you think about it...it could work that way too.... |

ok....now i'm just reading a bunch of bullshit from retards who are arguing Megadeth v.s. Metallica...and gess what...its starting to piss me off....if you ask me...i think Megadeth is better than Metallica in its own way...Metallica is better than Megadeth in its own way....i could seriously give half a rats ass anyways....Megadeth is 1/4 Metallica anyways cuz when Mustane was in it.....but i still dont give a fuck....they BOTH FUCKING RULE...i listen to them both, but i've never listend to a lot of Megadeth growing up (that i remember), so i listen to their stuff a lil more to get a feel for it...and when i listen to Metallica, i listen to them too....i really could give a shit about favs....i think that Mustane and Metallica shuld just call it a truce and do a show together or merge bands for an album or sumthing (even tho music stylngs differ by A LOT)...i think that would rule............even tho i'm suppose to be explainging the song....i just had to say this cuz sum of u were pissing me off....BOTH rule and there's no fucking doubt...END OF FUCKING STORY!!!!.......as for the meaning of this song...i had no clue it was dedicated to Cliff...that rules.....but yeah....at first i thought it was about a woman he loved who was no longer there and well...wrote a depressing song about it...lol...but anyways.....dont bomb on Fade To Black...the people who actually kill themselves to that song are stupid, and i dont give a shit.....i feel like that sumtimes too but i'm not gonna off myself to a song.... |

Definately a song about a relationship no more...the beginning of the song, Mustane mentions that he's lost in a dream....signifying that it seems like one very huge nightmare that he just cant wake from....i know...i've been there (am actually still there....)...but he definately sounds like he DID NOT want this girl to leave him, no matter what they did to each other...the line "Time and again...She repeats lets be friends...I smile and say yes...Another truth bends i must confess..." is probly my fav. one...cuz i've had the told to me before...and i can relate to mustane here....cuz do you know how fucking HARD it is to stay JUST FRIENDS with sumeone you loved to death??....its damn near impossible cuz u get all these damn mixed emotions and flashbacks and shit...so i can see why he just lies to her that way....and it makes tons of sense too...not just cuz they cant trust each other....however that is a damn good reason too....just after the line i wrote, you can tell that Mustane is hurting like hell...and well...yeah...but anyways...i dont wanna analyze the whole damn song....just wanted to point out sum things (that probly have already been pointed out...but who cares)...but yeah...anyways....this song really fuking rules anyways, and when i learn to play it, i'ma do it at a show of sumkind...lol....but yeah....LONG LIVE THIS SONG!!!!! |
