CharmingMan you are spot on when it comes to Marr's music. I sometimes feel he's very underrated. Their's also sadness to his music which went so well with Morrissey and made The Smiths such a great band. |

It reminds me a bit of "Ask" where in my opinion Morrissey is trying to tell someone to come out of their shell. I love the line "Take my hand and off we stride...", it's as if he's saying "I'll come with you if you like and help you". Just my thoughts. |

I don't know why people can call Moz unhappy and miserable when he has songs like this. He's clearly taking the mickey out of himself. And just in case no one knew the last line of the song is.... "Because weird lover Wilde is on mine" I always used to think that he said either Shut up or Sugar and i'd sing accordingly. It is Sure though. |

I adore this song! It's my favourite of all time. I read in an interview once that for awhile Marr thought that this song was about him and Morrissey, not in a sexual way, just because when the song was written, them two were always together and living together. One of the best pieces of songwriting ever. |

When i first heard this song i fell in love with it, as i did with all Smith songs. The way Morrissey sings 'My, my, my, my, my, my baby, goodbye', makes me love it even more. It's beautiful. I agree with Kez's (2nd post) take on this song. |
